Our people have worked as management consultants, private equity investment managers, senior executives within large businesses and are currently small business owners. This means client advice is both objective (a consultant's role) and practical, having regard to normal business operation sensitivities.
Tracey Sandeman, Director of Sandeman Consulting, was previously:
- Head of Finance & Business Development for Diners Club Australia, delivering a turnaround strategy post Ansett collapse and improving the integration of the business into Citibank
- Manager with GEM Consulting & Poynton & Partners, a boutique advisory firm specialising in strategy, corporate finance and private equity. Provided strategy and commercial due diligence advice to clients in multiple industries
- Business Development Manager for Freightcorp (now known as Pacific Rail), focussed on negotiating an entry into the Queensland coal freight services market
- Compliance Officer/Inhouse Lawyer for Freightcorp, responsible for both compliance as well as general legal services including negotiation and drafting of major freight contracts with the coal, grain and intermodal services industries
- Solicitor for Allen Allen & Hemsley (now Allens Arthur Robinson) and Hunt & Hunt, specialising in commercial and personal injury litigation
Strategy experience includes growth, turnarounds, operational improvements and organisational restructures. Project Management experience includes M&A transactions (within business, as a consultant), core financial database system migration offshore, new financial reporting systems, JV creation & rollout. Private Equity experience includes commercial due diligence, negotiation of acquisition deals, strategic fit assessments and post-acquisition planning. Industry experience includes finance (consumer finance, funds management), transport (airlines, rail), construction, manufacturing (baking, hot water heaters), wholesale (fruit & vegetables), resources (coal), utilities (electricity, gas, water), government, professional services, small business
Tracey has an MBA from the AGSM UNSW, Bachelor of Law & Commerce (Marketing) from UNSW, Diploma of Legal Practice from UTS and is admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of NSW.
